Happy St. George’s Day!
• If you’re Catalonian, you’ll be honouring St. George on Wednesday the 23rd by swapping books and roses with your loved ones.
• If you’re Valencian, you’ll be tooling up to re-enact the battle of the Moors vs. Christians in which St. George supposedly saved the day.
• If you’re Greek, you’ll have no shortage of events to choose from, including an uphill race for the elderly (which may explain why Arachova’s St. George festival lasts three days).
• But if you’re English, chances are you’ll be doing bugger all.
